The position of Associate Rework Lead serves to support the overall repair abilities of the Depot, complete repair tasks, as well as overflow production work within the Naval Depot area.

Responsibilities:

  • Full knowledge of disassembly and re-assembly of customer returns.
    Ensure safety of employees by teaching and monitoring safe test procedures and practices.
  • Coordinate workload and change priorities based on management direction.
  • Ability to trouble shoot additional failure problems found on customer returns after initial test and inspection.
    Must have a strong knowledge and understanding of diverse PSG product lines.
  • Ability to converse with Test Technicians and Coordinators on technical issues related to customer returns.
  • Ability to read and understand drawings and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of handling and completing soldering procedures.
  • Must have strong drive, and decisive ability to make things happen under limited supervision.
  • Have a working knowledge of Computers, and the ability to enter simple information.
  • Ability to lift customer returns of 50+ lbs. from cart to rework desk.
  • Knowledge of tools and ability to use them in rework.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.  A.A. Degree or Technical Certificate preferred or military service experience and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training.
  • Must be able to read and understand Engineering Orders, Quality procedures, Test procedures, operating instructions, drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
  • Must be able to work well with interdepartmental personnel. 
  • Must have a working knowledge of computers.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and familiarity with MIL-Q-9858 and ISO 9000 is a plus.
  • Be able to work around high voltage as in 700VDC, 480VAC, current in excess of 6000 Amps & Power > 200KW.
