L3 ASV is seeking a Program Manager as it continues to develop and establish a foothold in the rapidly expanding market space for Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs). In this role you will lead the execution and delivery of cutting-edge Department of Defense (DoD) maritime programs. The role is based at L3 ASV�s headquarters in Broussard, Louisiana.

The Role:

As a Program Manager at L3 ASV you will effectively utilize company and customer resources to plan, execute and monitor your assigned program to achieve the desired program goals. You will have overall accountability for the program profitability, on-time delivery and customer satisfaction including product technology, performance and quality. In this role, you will be the program leader and point of contact both internally and externally.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Execute delivery of technical, schedule and cost requirements for assigned program

  • Gain deep understanding of customer needs and requirements; forge meaningful relationship with customer

  • Develop intimate understanding of L3 engineering capabilities and business support functions; build connections with key internal teammates; harness L3 brainpower to best serve customer

  • Coordinate the development of program plans including the preparation of work breakdown structures, budgets, network plans, risk and cost reduction plans

  • Monitor program progress and exercise control of schedule

  • Maintain financial, schedule and technical data and reporting on assigned proposals and programs; identify and recommend solutions to significant problems

  • Lead and participate in contract negotiations, applying contract management knowledge and requirements management expertise

  • Maintain confidentiality with exposure to a large amount of company and customer sensitive material

  • Assist in execution of business growth objectives by providing input on business area plans, win and capture strategies and proposals

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience Requirements

  • 5 - 10 years of program management experience in the defense industry on a major DoD program
  • Sharp manpower planning and Earned Value Management skills
  • Expertise in managing FAR-based fixed price development and low rate initial production contracts in excess of $50M
  • Skilled in managing dynamic programs with potential for fluctuating scope
  • History of maximizing incentives on prime contracts
  • Tactful in negotiating scope and price with key subcontractors
  • Experience in autonomy development and driving the adoption of autonomy on key platforms (shipbuilding experience also a plus)
  • PMP Certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project
  • Possess Secret clearance or meet eligibility requirements to access US classified information

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor�s Degree in Engineering, Business or STEM discipline. Additional degree concentrations will be considered for candidates who possesses desired professional skillset
  • MBA or STEM graduate degree a plus
