Performance and Systems Manager

Intelligence & Cyber International (ICI)

Eight Mile Plains, Brisbane

L3Harris Space and Airborne Systems Australia is a Brisbane based subsidiary of L3Harris and part of our ICI Division. We provide design, manufacture, integration and sustainment of advanced electronic warfare components and subsystems using cutting edge wideband radio frequency and photonic technology. We are a trusted, sovereign design and production partner to the Australian Department of Defence and an established exporter to global defence primes.

What the role will involve

Some of the responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Management of the Business Performance / Quality (QA/QC) functions to ensure that we have the processes, systems, infrastructure, and safe practices in place to support our team members to satisfy our customers with our services and products.
  • Compliance to relevant L3 Harris corporate policies or agreed deviation. Liaison with executive team regarding quality strategies.
  • Develop, Manage and execute the Internal Audit program as well as prepare the business for and respond to external auditing of business processes
  • Management Representative for the L3H SASA QMS with the authority to establish, implement and maintain the QMS and responsibility for reporting to top management on how the QMS is performing including identification, development and implementation of improvements and promoting awareness of customer requirements to all members of L3H SASA.
  • Monitor, maintain and improve the business system and practices to maintain AS9100 Quality Management and ISO9001-2015 accreditation.

What you’ll bring

To be successful in this role and to best leverage the opportunities provided by L3Harris, some skills & experience ideal applicants will bring include;

  • Industrial Engineering qualification (Desired)
  • Quality or Business-related tertiary qualifications
  • Extensive experience implementing and maintaining AS9100 or TS16949 or ISO13485
  • Lead auditor qualification and experience in internal/external auditing
  • Quality Assurance experience in a regulated industry (eg: Aerospace)
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office applications
  • High attention to detail and courage to challenge the Status Que
  • Good leadership, communication and facilitation skills to enable interrelation with and influence with the entire team, including Department Managers, Engineers and other team members as necessary.
