Job Description
We are seeking a Machinist B to join the team at our Camden, AR site. This position operates a CNC lathe to make parts, mechanisms, tools or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions. Works under general supervision and following established instruction. Performs assignments requiring general use and application of concepts, practices, and techniques.
Essential Functions:
Fabricates piece parts per work instructions, drawings and specifications through the use of required machine tools. Inspects piece parts per work instruction and drawing requirements. Operates machine tools. Will machine energetic materials remotely. The machinist may need to work weekends and off hour shifts to maintain schedule.
- Uses, adjusts, cleans and stores the tools, machinery and equipment used.
- Keeps records and reports of the use of equipment.
- May assist in making estimates of the time and materials required to complete an assignment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post. Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
- Requires machinist experience
- Requires familiarization of machine tools and equipment, machine shop procedures and practices, principals and properties.
- Requires knowledge of basic mathematic principles to solve problems.
- Requires the ability to work in a team environment and relate to all levels of employees.
- Must have a valid driver's license. Preferred Additional Skills:
- Associate's degree in Machine Tool Technology a plus
